Today, my boss at the Elementary school came--Mrs. Doss. She is the head teacher and Jill and I are the two other teachers!! We end up teaching all grades, like switching back and forth and stuff. We got a LOT of stuff done today. Definitely felt productive! :) Tomorrow we have a full schedule, but I'm getting excited for school to start!!

Sounds like you are really busy but having fun. That is great. What is a Yani? Keep looking for that perfect sunset , it will come soon enough. And don't forget to help Mrs Raymond each time you visit her, she will appreciate that !!!
ReplyDeleteRemember to use good common sense as you meet people there, esp your age or older...don't wander off with them alone, always stay in groups. Remember Natalie Halloway....YOU MUST BE CAUTIOUS and trust/pray to GOD daily!!!
ReplyDeleteHow was your first day of teaching? How many kids did you have, and where they good?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new info. Enjoy reading your blog. Sounds exciting & glad to hear you've made some new friends, esp. the Raymonds'. Be safe, my dear and know We LOVE YOU & miss you! Don't get sick with the cold, wet weather. Will be praying for your classes & work there. Let Jesus shine in ALL you do!
ReplyDeleteIs Yani the cook at the Raymonds house? I see all those delicious looking dishes....yummy! One more thing...remember HIV/AIDS is very very prevalent in that country, so use GREAT handwashing, beware of blood contact with locals, and be very germ conscious around strangers there....wouldn't want you to get sick. It is a virus that is spread (mostly thru blood but possibly thru saliva, and other bodily secretions.) Claim Psalms 91 to keep you safe in all ways each day!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the concern! And DON'T WORRY! I'm being careful and safe! Because of the elevation, there isn't any Malaria to worry about and I'm never in any contact with blood, but I understand to be careful and wear gloves and stuff if I did. School starts next Tuesday and I'll post more pictures of food that we eat!
ReplyDeletesaw your photos on facebook and loved them too! Remember to send photos of you doing your SM tasks there so folks can see their donations in action!!! Loved all the photos of the landscape and scenery as well as the FOOD....you may not come in contact with blood, but IF you cut yourself, the virus germ can enter into you, so be very careful in the kitchen!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay will do!! I haven't started teaching...but I'll be sure to put up some photos once we get started! :)
ReplyDeleteGee, she makes my job so much easier! :) Do be careful my dear, you know it's only because we love you so much that we worry about these things. Food pics are good, but I like the ones with action/people/scenery more! Just be sure you're getting proper rest for your immune system.....surprised she didn't mention that & the hydration concern! Do you need to drink bottled water? <3 you
ReplyDeleteI wanted to save a few things for your mother to worry !). But they both are very important ...must keep immune system working 100% and rest and what we eat really affects it, as well as TRUST IN GOD!!! As for the water, we discussed Boiling IT....check with others there from USA and see what they tell you. Bottled water is probably ok, but check where it is bottled before you drink.....never assume it is from USA.
ReplyDeleteHOpe your first day in school goes FANASTIC tomorrow!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey girl, I am anxious to see more on your blog page....I check it faithfully each day and hoping for your great PHOTOS and stories!!!
