| So I ended up passing out because it was really really hot, I was standing for awhile in the sun, I'm still a little sick and because I hadn't eaten much breakfast or drank much water..OOPS. But, Jill was there and caught me and then random people helped by putting cold water on my head and lifting up my legs...(according to Jill, this part was really funny) Anyway, no need to worry about me (Mom and Aunt Darney) because I learned my lesson!! |

I can only imagine how funny it was to wake up with your legs over your head & Jill laughing! :) Glad to hear you're OK though. That baby elephant is so cute! Did you get to feed it a bottle? That would have been fun! By squat pot, do you mean a hole in the ground? They had those in the Middle East.....really works those knees! Sounds like you need a good night's sleep.....so I hope you're getting it. We're going to be out in the sun with this block party today, if your dad's back holds up! I think we're too old for Africa.......<3 you sweetie. Keep the pics & stories coming. :)
ReplyDeleteLoved those new elephant photos and so did Uncle Larry....he wants to adopt that baby elephant!!! Send him our way with the bottle too!!! Sorry about that fainting episode, you could have been trampled on by elephant if you were closer...you need to drink alot more when you are in sun, and feeling sick too. That extra water boosts the immune system too, but hey they are smart to raise the feet, that gets the blood back to your brain. In the states we do the reverse, make the person bend head down to toes.....but in hospital we put the bed in tilt position with head lowest, so it is good to know that those folks know good 1st AID measures there!!! I am glad to see you are really enjoying the country and animals there, you are a NATURAL there. Eat before you take these day trips next time, ok? Xoxoxo and Miss you alot!
ReplyDeleteIt made for an interesting experience that is for sure! And you can adopt the elephants..but all that means is that you pay to sponsor them...and the people send you pictures and maybe stories, ect. Yeah, idk who helped me but it was a tourist trap so there had to be tons of people who knew 1st aid. Yes, squat pots--meaning you have to squat to go to the bathroom in a hole in the ground. Hope you enjoy my new post!
